Yar\u0131n yay\u0131mlanmas\u0131 beklenen konu\u015fma metninde Verheugen, “T\u00fcrkiye’nin \u00e7ok b\u00fcy\u00fck stratejik \u00f6nemi var. Ben b\u00fct\u00fcn b\u00f6lgenin g\u00fcvenli\u011finden s\u00f6z ediyorum. T\u00fcrkiye’nin Bat\u0131l\u0131 devletler toplulu\u011funda sa\u011flam bir yer edinmek yerine ba\u015fka bir yol tutmas\u0131 halinde neler olaca\u011f\u0131n\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnmek gerek. Almanya ve Fransa’n\u0131n ortaya att\u0131\u011f\u0131 imtiyazl\u0131 ortakl\u0131k fikriyle ilgili olarak de\u011ferlendirmelerde bulunan Verheugen, T\u00fcrkiye’nin reddetti\u011fi bu fikri reddetti ve “T\u00fcrklerin zaten imtiyazl\u0131 bir ortakl\u0131\u011f\u0131 bulunuyor. Di\u011ferlerinden (\u00fclkelerden) \u00e7ok daha fazla AB’nin i\u00e7inde. Zaten bir g\u00fcmr\u00fck birli\u011fi var.
